Wild Fingers

The game originated in two digital photos which the party featuring in the game (Computer graphics students from Tartu Higer Scool of Art) had taken with my camera. To “return their compliment,” I created the present game bearing an ambivalent title. Why fingers then? Because hands were “handy” and remember all those childhood games you played using nothing else but your hands and fingers!

On the game site you can flip butts to the ashtray, play “stone-paper-scissors”, give someone’s finger a good tug, spin a coin to see if it is heads or tails and, should you wish, say just stop. Digital photos have been amply used in the game design and, in order to simplify things for the player, inactive pictures come in brownish half-tones. Once the game is over it will be stamped “PASSED”.

When “Wild Fingers” had been completed, one of the Estonian major internet portals Delfi displayed a link to it and due to the game’s ambivalent title and easy to learn play the site’s popularity shattered all previous visitor records in one week..
